Howdy...I've made some mods to my car and recently did some pulls on a Mustang dyno. I read on another thread here that the Mustang reads about 13% lower than a DynoJet. Can someone here verify that? thanks!

That's what I've been told by the shop that I use (Mustang) and a couple of tuners. This is supposedly based on the different software used, Mustang being a load bearing software compared the dyno-jet as being acceleromter based software. I don't know 100% for sure.
However, that said, I think it was David Salama(??) that did a test on his car previously on a dyno jet, then went to a Mustang later and his figures were down 13%.
I would like to do a couple of pulls on a dyno-jet to make sure but the closest one to me is 2 hrs away. The Mustang one is 45 minutes. My Mustang numbers are 282/291,,hp/torque.

Dynojet's methodology is least prone to inconsistencies and error since it determines HP based on the rate of acceleration of a fixed mass(the wheel drum). Other systems measure load from sensors, then calculates HP. Sensors change over time and are only accurate to a certain degree.
Therefore, Dynojet is the most accurate.
FYI, software doesn't really have anything to do with it. Software is just running the calculations.

I asked the question because with my present set up I am getting about 202 hp and 224 tq on both a Mustang and a(n Australian) Dyno-Dynamics dyno. According to my chip maker, with a test pipe car like mine he usually see's 225-230 hp and around 250-260 tq on a DynoJet pull. When correcting my Mustang numbers to (estimated) DynoJet numbers, it puts me right where I should be. Thanks! B

Go to http://www.dynoperformance.com where you'll find quite a bit of discussion on dyno results and comparisons of different dyno's. The consensus there also seems to be that the Mustang gives results that are 10%-15% lower than the Dynojet.
