Default What... Would cause

Howdy all, its been awhile!

Ok so the 89 is back on the road after a bit of a hiatus and now I am getting pulling to the left under acceleration? and then, as soon as you let off the gas it wants to pull back to the right? The degree of this is directly proportional to how much acceleration was involved.

The transmission is a Limited Slip out of an S2 that was supposedly just rebuilt before I bought it and installed it. My gut is leading me there...

Any Ideas?

Doubt the transmission would do that.
$65-$100 for a front end alignment.
Has the car been hit before? Any other suspension changes?

No never in an accident but the suspension is as follows, Weltmiester sway bars and Bilstein Escort Cup, with camber plates. Are you suspecting an alignment issue?

It would be a good idea to check the suspension at each corner.

Is it pulling the steering wheel, or is the car yawing and you have to counter steer?

The car is yawing and I have to counter steer. The amount of counter steer is directly proportional to how much throttle is applied.

My tire dealer had replaced one of my rear tires under warranty with a different model of the same brand tire. I had these exact symptoms until I had both rear tires replaced. My lsd was just fine until I apples power, then it thought one tire was rotating faster than the other and applied extra power to one wheel, causing the yaw. The same thing will happen with one low rear tire.

If I remember correctly (and I may not) the larger circumference tire was on the back right. On acceleration car would yaw left I'd have to steer right. On easing off acceleration I'd have to steer left. To test this, swap the left and right rear tires. If the problem reverses you know the issue is the tires. If it does not reverse, you may have an issue with your lsd.

That's characteristic behavior of a tire that's down on pressure and/or structurally damaged.

If you jack it up and grab the the rear wheels at the 9/3 o clock position, can you wobble either of them at all? They should be rock solid (with the handbrake off).

Once I had a kind of similar experience. It was kind a kind of sudden wobble - one way when I accelerated, the other way when I slowed. Turned out the passenger side axle nut had worked itself loose

My vote is tires especially if the car has been sitting for awhile.
