Chevron Fuel System Cleaner, ran through prior to every oil change. Buy at WalMart.

Search. You'll see a ton of debate and opinions. I'm giving you mine. Given the choice, I do mine about 400 miles (1 tank of gas) prior to my next oil change. This eliminates/reduces any chances of cross-contamination with the fresh oil, and was the advice given to me by some of the major indy Porsche engine builders. I've been following this advice for over 10 years.

Why do you think you need an injector cleaner now? Are you trying to solve a problem, or just proactive preventative maintenance?

I've used BG44k, Seafoam, and the Chevron mentioned above over the years. Now tending to just use Seafoam for winter storage fuel stabilization and water condensation prevention with fuel injection cleaning as an extra plus in the Spring.

The Chevron stuff was recommended to me by a Porsche mechanic at MCL Porsche in Vancouver way back in 94. Interesting it came up 22 years later No Chevron stations in Alberta. DOH!

Is there a consensus on the fact that it shall only be used just prior to oil change? of it can be used and done in between?
