968 mirrors & door handles
OK guys, good, bad, or indifferent - what do you think about updating the 951 with 968 door handles and mirrors?
I don't see how it would effect any resale value except for the OEM purest.
Since my cars not stock anymore anyway - I don't see a real arguement.
I'm trying to make this decision. Maybe go with the 968 rear wing too later.
Pictures please if you got some.
Thanks, TurboTime

IMO they look out of place, much too "rounded" for the relatively "square" lines of the 951. If I were you I'd fit turbo Cup mirrors - same as 924 and VW Rabbit.

I have both the mirrors and the door handles. It was the best thing I have done for the looks of the car. It looks really cool, sexy and modern.
I was lucky, paid $200,-- for the mirrors and $100,-- for the door handles (one of them brand new from the dealer).
I would say: Go for it!

Maybe the handles, but I agree with Thom that the mirrors don't match the overall lines of the 944. What's so bad about the flag mirrors? They were good enough for the oh-so-sexy 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO!

You can go low-rent and paint your current handles. Sure it's not quite as sexy but the one's you've got are free. Made a large improvement in my car's looks.

I had them installed on one of my previous 951's. While they look good, I feel they aren't consistent with the hard, square lines of the 951.
In short, while nice, they look out of place.
If you want soft round lines, get a 968.
