Patiently waiting on Rod to give us an update.

From PR Techs photos and one from a time attack page it seems as they've been playing with turbo setups.

It really looks like they'll be in maximum attack next weekend.

Yes the good news is that we are running the billet 4 litre engine, but we had a few problems with the twin turbos, we couldn't find a suitable housing so we had to go back to a big single, we will only have about 20% more power than last year, we can't expect the rest of the drivetrain to hold up forever, and my resources are not what they once were.

Hey Rod, just curious, and my question is isolated to a specific column of expenditure but I will understand if you choose to not disclose,

Barring all further development, in other words, assuming that the car had reached the level of your goal and a reasonable reliability level had been reached, what would you suspect that operation costs would be for this car in perishables, consumables, etc. (clutch, brakes, tires, etc.) over the period of 1 year with that amount of track time...?

I know, the competition never rests in an "open" class...., but that aside.

Would you guys mind linking sources where we might be able to follow via web channels...?

Are there any that cover this in detail (garage walk interviews, drivers, mechanics, etc), not just a 10 minute web trailer...?

Thanks,

T

The car hasn’t run since last year, It’s unlikely it’ll ever reach my goal and it has yet to show much in the way of reliability. Tyres I guess we can get 6 laps out of them in testing, 2 in competition.

20% more power, but how much did you gain under the curve, that power curve from the video PR tech posted is unbelievable!!
Im curious to see charts with the single vs twin.
You guys will do well this year, best of luck!

http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index.php/live-stream/

I dont know if there's pit talks but i think there would be. been awhile since ive watched the stream as we just fly up for the weekend and watch.
I know HP Academy go around talking to the teams but i dont think that would be on the stream.

Every year the event gets bigger and better.

I don’t have any direct comparisons to show but the twins were better up to 1 bar, but past there the back pressure just choked the power out of them, the gt42 is at1:1 around 6000, pretty close to as good as you can expect, full boost around 4300, it’s a 4 litre engine, the curve is still good.

Yeah, Bosch, that's what I thought.

Bookmarked.

I have Bob Dylan tickets for one of those day but will be tuned in when I can.

Am I right that there are only 4 entrants in RP968's class....?

What's the status on Gustaf, isn't he supposed to be going with car...?

Quite surprised actually. Did you ever have the G25-660 or 550 series turbos in mind? Those are something i've been keeping an eye on for results.
I know that going a big single was the obvious choice considering time to get it dialed in.

Saturday is the day you want to tune into. and sat is less likely to rain.

Not sure how many Pro cars there are, But there are 11 Pro & Pro AM cars
Pro cars use pro drivers and Pro AM are more owner builder racers type cars.

Gustav pulled out due to personal reasons sadly. Was looking forward to seeing his car go around.
