Returned from Werkes Reunion in Monterey while my friend and I displayed his GTR.
Alwin Springer (former head of PCNA) was there and talked to us about the car that he had a hand in developing.
BTW, the Bruce Jenner race team owner is NOT the one you are probably thinking of. This Bruce Jenner is from New Zealand and was an accomplished racecar driver.
The car drew an amazing amount of attention - particularly when we removed the front glass and exposed the engine.
A few pics from last weekend.

Great, thanks for the pics. Not many 944s running the sway bars up there.

Is the distributor on the rear cam housing on that SOHC? Or stand alone? Very cool setup all around and 650hp in 1987 is pretty awesome from a 2.5L 4 cylinder. And it looks like a solid camshaft setup, pretty awsome, now I know where LR got the idea. Not many of those 944GTR's were made. And there definitely the fastest of all the 924/944/968 factory race cars that I have heard of. I don't see any "stock" to it thou. All the other's are based off a stock chassis I think. That one is not. At all. But I like the stock power steering resivor. The pilot/driver Elliot Forbes-Robinson was a godly like test pilot behind the wheel not just a race car driver, who earned his place in the hall of fame and made the 944GTR show its full potential.
