Default Whats the tallest you can be to fit in a 951?

Im currently shopping for a 951 and I am wondering what kind of cockpit space it has. Im 6'4" so I kinda have some problems with some cars. Anyone want to shed some light on me?

PS: Anyone want to buy a '92 BMW 325i? Perfect cond. with many extras.

I'm 6' 1" and it's pretty comfy for me. One of the few sports cars I feel comfortable in with the stock seats. If you're more leg than torso or balanced you should be okay. Best way to check is to sit in one and see. Of course you can get one with a sunroof and just let the top of your head catch the breeze!

Im definately more leg than torso (36" inseam). I dont really think there would be a problem... I'm just making sure.

I'm 6'5" 220 and I have no problems. I don't even need the seat all the way back.

This was one of the MAIN quiestions I asked before buying this car too.. I'm 6'5", 260lbs and it fits me better than any other car I've ever been in, Including the passanger seats of Most cars. With a 34" inseam, I wish there were 1 more notch for the seat to move back, but then I'd need a teloscopic wheel to come to me that same distance. It's by far the most comfortable car I've ever been in, much less driven. Do NOT let your size be an issue not to buy... actually let it be one more reason that this car is so much beeter than anything else your looking into.

Where are you located? Someone on the list is probably close enough to get you in their car so you can see for yourself.

Do you autox Russ? There is an event on the 21st. Are you going? Id love to check out your car, and if all goes well and my car sells fast, I might even have a 951 by then....

When I was in the auto repair business, we had a customer that was 6'7". One of the reason's he bought the car was for the great leg room.

I myself am 6'4", and don't put the driver seat all the way back to get adequate leg room.

The passenger side of the car isn't as generous with leg room though.

I'm a lanky 6'4" and don't have issues in the dauly commute. I don't have the seat laid back too much, not the pimpin' type. I AX'd last weekend with a helmet and a harness bar (gotta move the seat in a more upright position). I could do it with the sunroof in, but I did rub a little. Since you don't race in the rain, take the roof out and have fun.

Patrick,
I haven't done any autoX in the 951, just DE's and at 5' 10.5" I have trouble getting as upright as I'd like with the stock seats and a helmet on. My guess is that with your inseam you'll be fine, as the point of conflict for me is the front edge of the sunroof which is considerably lower than the whole center portion ( which is probably where your helmet will reside). With the race seats I'm almost too low. Where's the event on the 21st? I might go, but I'm more likely to be riding my bike in most likely the nicest weather of the St. Louis year.
