Went for a quick spin again over lunch and couldn't be happier. Because my car didn't run right before (barely ran at all cold, died under moderate load or when coming off WOT) the difference is staggering. It's finally the car I was hoping it would be when I first picked it up last year. So smooth and the power won't light your pants on fire but is more than adequate. It makes the prospect of pumping money and time into it over the coming years to get it nice seem like a much more appealing proposition. I took a co-worker for a spin and he couldn't get over how much better the car was from before. Just had to share the joy.

Sweet - hoping the M-tune mods to my car makes it run just as smooth as yours!

That is the harness rubber boot in the pic and of course that is the cycling valve wires and plug
Is that right at the firewall where the harness passes through the firewall?

Yes at the firewall. The rubber boot comes through the firewall and turns toward the drivers side behind the cam tower and towards the 2 ground posts on the back of the block.

Thank you. Unfortunately I think I'll have to remove the manifold, which isn't that hard just added pain. Then hopefully run a new wire.

One last thing, you wouldn't happen to know which wire it is from under the dash would you ? Might be much easier to cut the wire from under the dash and run a new wire out from there, that way the connection point is inside the car and safe from weather. Just a thought. If anyone knows which one it is that would be awesome. (Cycling valve's keyed power wire, or pin number on the computer harness) I would assume it runs to the DME or klr harness and could be fixed from there.

I have Josh's tunes on both my 951s, a pristine '86 street car and a highly modded '89 tack car.
They don't just have better driveablility, the power band is wider which means better lap times.
Now if I could just get the logger software to work.....

I just installed mine over the weekend and love it! One thing I'm not sure about is how much boost the thing wants to run. Is that the point of the Map and Maf, you just set for the boost you want and as long as the injectors can keep up it will figure the fueling out? I had originally been looking at the Lindsey racing MAF and they were going to want to know what turbo I had to flash the chips... for the M-tune all they cared about was what injectors I wanted.

I couldn't be happier after two days of driving mine. I can't wait to burn up the rest of this tank and try the E85 tune! Of course, I leave town for two weeks on Friday... it will be a LONG two weeks.

From what I understand 15 psi is good on premium pump, and maybe 18-19psi on race or E85. I can tell a bigger turbo (and probably a head gasket) are on my to-do list in the near future. I'm keeping it around the 15 mark for the time being for a bit of longevity as my budget recovers.

Has anyone done a before/after dyno with the M-Tune vs the stock (or chipped) AFM holding everything else constant?

Mine didn't run worth a crap before, so it wouldn't have been a fair/useful number.
