If you are complaining about $11 shipping, you own the wrong brand of cars.

I've shipped a sh@$@t ton of stuff from LR to Calgary. Never had an issue ever and they have shipped whatever method I have asked them too. Tracy, Dave and Mike are great to deal with.

There services has always been great. If you ever have an issue you need to call them and they will always do there best to make it right!

Mike and Dave Lindsey are a tremendous resource for the Porsche community.

I needed something sent overnight from them and because of UPS rates, it was expensive.

I asked Tracey nicely if there was any chance she could send it USPS and she said that she would do her best to try and help as it was like $35 difference. She happened to be going by the Post office on her way home and dropped it off for me.

I have always had GREAT service from Lindsey Racing.

No one forced you to buy from them. If you didn't like the shipping price then you could have looked elsewhere.

As I have mentioned before, service was not the issue, shipping was my gripe. I know there are other porsche part vendors, and that if I don't like I can go elsewhere.

My point was and is, shipping costs in my instance, were unreasonable, that's my gripe. Companies want to give a blanket price for shipping an item, it's unfair and unreasonable when actual costs to ship(labor & materials) is significantly lower.

Why should it matter if it's a porsche washer or a kia washer? How does the brand of car parts dictate shipping costs if all things are equal?

here are my 02 cents. A few days ago I had the company that does my teflon lines ship directly to a customer, it was the pump to filter line about 12 ounces, usually i ship my small packages via USPS prices for USPS via eBay system are alright, the line does fit in a Flat Rate envelope which is $ 4.95. I told my supplier to ship it and I would reimburse him he sent me a bill of $ 10.45 for shipping via UPS, he doesnt use postal service because UPS is more convenient. I imagine with a company like Lindsey they dont have the time to go to the postal service with 40 packages, so UPS or FedEx are convenient to them. I just took the liberty to calculate a shipment of 12 ounces from Tulsa Oklahoma zip 73112 to New Hampshire zip 03037 you want to know the cost for ground?

YES $ 12.43 DAMN LINDSEY DID NOT OVERCHARGED YOU.

not including cost of packaging materials and box, WOW

I just don't think it's fair to blame a vendor of overcharging shipping if you dont do your research right.

USPS Priority Mail Quote, and that's a normal joe walking through the door. Anyone who does more volume get's a better rate than this below. The option for USPS calculated on their website was I believe for overnight mail ~$30. There needs to be an option for USPS priority mail on their website.

My supplier who does a large volume(200 packaged per day) doesn't use USPS is a matter of convenience for the vendor. They charged you what UPS charged them. what if they dont want to offer postal service? I think the complaint should be directed a UPS for the high prices not to LR

I'm in montreal and have been ordering from lindsey for about 8 years now. They always give me shipping options and I usually use fedex.

UPS is very expensive across the border and change massive brokerage fees.

I like Lindsey racing and have only once had an issue, which they fixed.

Also I've learned to try order multiple things at once and combine it all together. For the banjo bolt and washer a local parts store or dealer would've been easier.

Consider this a cheap lesson.

I agree, I think buying larger ticket items, the shipping costs wouldn't have bothered me.

Lart,

USPS isn't convenient for most, but the option should exist for smaller items. I understand UPS costs are their costs of doing business and there is nothing we can do about it.

Lindsey should offer more options for consumers, and if I buy bigger ticket items, the shipping costs would have been a moot point if it was $20-$30 shipping for a $1500 Maf/Turbo, which is heavier/ has more bulk and takes up more space on the plane/truck. Smaller items should be adjusted accordingly to shipping costs.
