It's an amazing result knowing that you had some interruptions on that day. That the Valtonen RX7 was over 2 seconds slower is astonishing!! Really great result for all the effort you've put in Gustaf.
Big congratulations!!

Be great to get our cars together on the same track oneday....I'm working on it.

Congratulations!
Both to the current record holder and to you - building this monster aside, doing over 3km long twisty track in 1:15 region is ridiculously fast..

(correct me if i'm wrong - I assumed the 1:11,69 by Johnny Cecotto, which i found on their website is the time.. ? Big pity they did not write what car has the man driven..)

You are correct, this is an unofficial track record.
For a track record to be official it must be from a sanctioned official race.
The current record of 1:11.69 is from 1981 with a Formula 2 car.

The unofficial record for a GT car is as far as I know a factory built Audi R8 LMS Ultra on slicks with a 1:15.8 time.

The unofficial record with R-spec tires / semi slicks was 1:21.7 and the new time set by Alx Danielsson in my car was 1:19.348.
Hoping to get the car down in the mid 1:18 in about 1.5 weeks time.

Side note - In 2005 Ferrari F1 was there and set a time of 1:03.8.
F1 cars are just from another planet

1.15 / 1.25 - for me - doesn't make a difference.. still way faster than my imagination can compute. Keep up the good work!

Here's a little teaser that gives some idea of how the car feels from the inside and how the engine sounds etc.

Wow, awesome job.

I smell an open engine 944 race series coming... let the LS swaps and hybrid strokers sort themselves out. :-)

From what I see of Tony G on FB he's always out partying and drinking. Seems like he's not driving that car much yet??? Looks to have a pretty good life though!
