Everything is back together. All that is left is putting in fluids. I'll wait on coolant until I'm ready to start, but today I'm putting in Joe Gibbs break in oil and atf (power steering fluid) while I prime the oil pump. I'm going to try the compressed air into dipstick technique forcing oil up the pickup tube.

Wish me luck.

Well she developed about 3 - 4 bar of oil pressure. I removed the pressure hose from the dipstick and still produces about 3 bar of pressure. I put in 6 quarts of Joe Gibbs break-in oil and it filled up to the top dipstick line, but after priming the system my engine sucked up so much oil that I don't get a reading at all on the dipstick. So either it is pouring into the cooling system (it isn't dumping outside the engine, I checked) or 6 quarts isn't enough oil for a first start. Oil cooler was cleaned too. Looks like i'm off to search for another couple of quarts of break-in oil or I could just use the other oil I was going to use after 300 miles.

It wasn't starting at first, but I finally figured out that I forgot to connect a critical wire next to the DME. I was getting fuel, but no spark. Tested coil, tested relays and jumpered stuff. All checked good. Then I found a disconnected connector.

Congratulations that must have felt good. I am fairly close now my self after a couple of years with on and off work . Only a broken coolant tank is stopping me right now.
