The SPA Turbo 07k exhaust manifold is back in stock now. I was planning to import a bunch of them, but maybe I don’t have to now:

Three Wheelin'
I’m interested in doing this swap in the future. I have a few questions about it, although I won’t be able to get anywhere near this project for a while (rebuilding a wrecked ‘83). First, can the 07k factory ecu be (relatively) easy to integrate with a stock engine? I would like to do a NA swap into a spare ‘83 I have at first and then go standalone turbo in another chassis. Along with that, will the ecu work with the cable TB from the VR6? As in, does it need an input from the drive by wire TB or does a TPS take care of that? And lastly I know this is a bit too soon to ask but is there a ballpark figure for final pricing of a complete swap kit?
thanks, I really admire all the work you guys are doing to make this swap widely available.

Instead, pick your ECU of choice (VEMS works nicely IMO), wire everything once, and get it running in NA form and learn to tune the system. Can run drive-by-wire or cable throttle no problem. Once you build up your engine and add forced induction, you will only need to add a few extra sensors, set up electronic boost control, etc. Install a larger fuel pump and injectors and re-tune!

There's plenty of room to make something work back there. I'm going to work up a solution for my car, and if anyone else wants them, we can always produce more.

Bellhousing Test Fit
So far so good...
Mike and I stripped down my “new” 07k the other day, and mounted the flywheel, pilot bearing adapter, clutch, bellhousing, and starter. Hooked up 12V to the starter, and turned her over a few times. Starter engaged and released smoothly each time. Had to stop cranking because it started pumping oil out the side.
Then we dropped the engine into the car with the bellhousing, starter, and flywheel installed. Driveshaft slid into the pilot bearing, engine mounts lined up on the cross member, starter has plenty of room around it... all looking great! After months of obsessing over the minute details, it feels almost worth it.
I *could* go ahead and start making 20 of them that have been pre-ordered... but I think it would be best to get the release bearing mounted in there and hooked up to a master cylinder to make sure that everything works as it should. I just need to get a couple parts machined, so it won’t be long.

Looks great!
Probably want to fully weld one too to make sure things don't warp and the pilot bearing alignment is still good since that alignment is critical.

Alan made a jig and everything will get fully welded on that. We will obviously confirm fitment again, but this should keep everything in line

Not relevant to the swap , but got the tires mounted on the wheels today and put on the car . I have a lot of things going on at one time . Jumbo brakes and modern ABS to come shortly . Gotta make sure I can stop and handle before adding power . And yes , the damn birds have destroyed my car today .
