both of those cars are just so quick out of the box.... unreal that you can get factory reliablity and that sort of acceleration....

Thanks for the vid.

WOW!! Looks like both are about the same in take off, the porsche might have a little more power up top because it pulls away JUST a little in the end. Now after that video, I would love to see the two go at a track stock, then see how the two compare. Great video, thanks!!!!!

I have not seen the video yet but were both cars modified and if so does anyone know what was done? I dont see a stock 996TT beating a Viper in a drag race but anything can happen. Cant wait to see this video.

Porsche wins! In the second part of the video they both go for it and 996TT is pulling away.

Funny though totally unacceptable in the USA and in the UK but in Germany this happens all of the time - legally!

The Battle of the who has the largest ***** rages on - always on the motorway straight though...

No one noticed that the 996 TT was an automatic car which slows it down a bit. If you look at the instrument cluster you can see the PRND 12345.
Cool video!!!!

I have the video. E-mail and we'll figure out a way to get it to you. If you have Kazaa, do a search for "Porsche 996 TT Vs. Viper" as I have it available for download. It's about 9.7 mg's
