Ok so I redeemed myself a little for you guys, after all my Camry comments. In a simulated, imaginary, daydream fashion, of course... because playing on the street is dangerous... happened across a brand new S4 last night. I squirted away from a light, having some fun enjoying the cool air... and after I shut it down, gave me the ricer fly-by. Followed him a bit, then pulled along side... we both casually slowed down to about ~40 (speed limit 50 but most cars do 65... wide 4-lane divided highway in the middle of nowhere... farm fields on both sides) and hit it - and I put about a fender length on him by the top of 3rd. Halfway through fourth I was almost a full car ahead and he let out. Did it 2x... same result. Not bad for 176k miles and only 14psi.

Sadly, I tried giving him a big stupid grin and thumbs up the first time, and he wouldn't look over. 2nd time, I looked over again, waved and thumbs up - he looked over, saw me, and dove into the turn lane and whipped the turn.. hard. *shrug* I had fun. I guess he had hurty feelys after that.

Saw one of these in person today. I have to admit, I was never a fan of the looks - thought it looked like a Japanese Ferrari designed by Saleen. But it looks much better in person. Resembles a 458. Back end isn't nearly as bad in person. The rest of it looks, dare I say, good.

I got this comment from a friend of mine that is a dyed-in-the-wool Corvette owner/fanatic.....

"Yep I have seen a couple now. Still not sure…. The backend still looks like GM stole it from a Camaro and the outline LED head lights (eyebrow) comes from Audi and the side profile resembles a Viper. Still looks like a Corvette but I can’t understand why GM designers chose to copy rather than to create new, it’s kind of an embarrassment in my opinion. The overall package is nice just hate to see following from something that has always been defined as a leader. I think they could have done better by being creative as they have been for 60 years prior to."

Just read an article on Hennessey mods to the C7 and it looks like an exhaust and some remapping will get you 500 RWHP.

Makes the rear end even more appealing.
