So you can't even install an FIA approved seat like Recaro etc without TUV certifying this? I would enquire if I were you about the possibility of doing this. I did my first trackday in my 951 on a stock seat with stock seat belts and it was ridiculous. I was sore from trying to hold myself in the seat with arms, elbows, thighs, knees...whatever. Just not worth it in my opinion.

The H&R dont have any adustable valving, but TUV papers as you said.
I think H&R function pretty good on the track.
My S2 cab with stock spring and bilstein B6 schocks feels feels like boat at high sea at the track compered to the H&R coilovers.

Takk. Hvor i landet holder du til? How do you find the H&R on our roads?

Patric, you are right. You can get aftermarket seats approved, but 4 point harnesses are not road legal, so you have to keep the stock belts and only use the 4 point on track. I appreciate you don't find it worth it, but I do enjoy going to the track, and I can only get there in a road legal car.

I may go to the trouble of upgrading and approving the seats at a later date, but right now my car is without the engine-gearbox assembly and the suspension. Either I reinstall the M030 suspension, or I sell it and upgrade. This is the time to do it since everything is apart.

Fair enough. Not trying to discourage you at all. Congratulations for persisting in what I'd describe as a non sympathetic set of circumstances. Going to the track is awesome fun and one I sorely miss. Good luck on your project!

Really? I guess it never occurred to me that I couldn't go to a shop and buy an approved seat and install it. Guess I just live on the edge...lol...

National road authorities rarely bother with what the FIA does. They have very different priorities such as how fast you can get out of your car in case of submersion or a fire....when there are no marshals to help you. Or how easy it is for the firefighters to cut your car open to get you out. Apparently they don't like cutting through safety cages. I tried telling them it is highly unlikely one would need to be cut out if one has a properly constructed safety cage, but they weren't interested . Oh, and they say safety cages are dangerous if you drive on the road without a helmet as you can bang your head on them in an accident. I do agree with that assessment.

Get the KW. Been using them on very bumpy roads lately and they have proved excellent.

Thanks for your input. What spring rates are you running?

So Jason. Are you basing your opinion on the failure of your set, or have you heard other stories?

I'm the only one on here I believe that truly tracked stock KW v3's regularly. Most other's either don't really track very often and or had their v3's modified and ended up closer in spec to club sports rather then stock v3. It's also quite annoying to adjust the settings on the rear shocks as I mentioned earlier.
