Default Issues with high performance aftermarket axles/CV's ?

Have heard that a few people are having issues with the ones offered from Lindsey Racing with very premature wear of the bearings / cages. Possibly some issues with axles breaking too but I don't have that substantiated yet. These units are not cheap.

Has anyone else had these or similar issues with higher hp cars...quite possibly more track oriented.

Have not heard of that happening to anyone. They look well engineered. I use the cheap $65 ones for the VW van and they have survived four HPDE days without a hitch. So cheap that I bought two spares just in case.

FWIW, not wanting to bash anyone, just wanting to see if anyone else has had similar issues. There's at least 2 cars down here that have had these problems (one with a 5 speed, one a 6 speed box). I'm going to inspect mine which ran on the dyno a couple of days and had 2 very brief trackdays. One of the cars down here contacted LR who told them they hadn't had other issues. This shop then went elsewhere for a different brand. They sent them the new custom products but these also proved problematic. In the end the Shop down here took their own measurements as opposed to relying on these 2 different vendors, had the 2nd company make the new product and it worked fine since then. (As an aside, this car is now running a Sequential Transmission instead of the 968 6 speed. Pretty bloody snazzy!). I am trying to find out where he got the 2nd brand from.

Well it's my thread so I suppose I can divert. I can't shed a whole lot of light. I did speak to the shop that did the conversion. I was toying with the same idea but it's a huge undertaking both physically and therefore financially. Circa $50k+...but he said it was a sensational result. Considerably better than the Hewland box in the Cup Cars in his opinion. I will be checking out the car in a few months when it's up here in Sydney for a race meeting. Plenty of money has gone into this car.
