Mystery "technodyne" cylinder head work
I bought a 951 sept 2011 and in the records i have a bill for head work from technodyne for 1200 dollars in 1998 but no details what was done...
So my questions to the rennlisters is what kind of cylinder head work could have possibly been done?
Engine runs great and the PO was not the owner at the time the work was done and th PPO is unreachable and i would hate to take a perfect running engine apart just to find out I just want to have an idea what may have been done.
it does have raceware head studs widefire headgasket unknown wastegate, k7/6, and old huntley racing piggyback maf and unknown suspension and camberplates car is really clean inside and out.
any Ideas?????

Port work and o-ringed. Chris Cervelli did most of the PowerHaus head work. Very good work back in the day. I used to have the exact same package on another 951. At Technodyne we saw 345whp at 3500rpm and 335whp at 18psi. That was a fun car.

Yea you should be able to go to 20psi no trouble. The 27-6 turbo is by far my favorite on these cars. I newer more up to date maf setup may be worth a little more power and better drive ability but if you're happy with it I'd leave it alone

that's awesome.. I was thinking the same thing badcoupe an updated maf will be well worth it. the car is great the clutch is the weak point at the moment when it gets into boost you can feel it slipping pretty bad. even with low boost.

Get a spec or centerforce clutch for it. The 930 disk was a popular upgrade but these you're better off going one of the aforementioned brands. It's a bad enough job that you might as well get the good stuff first time around. On a maf kit I would recomend vitesse or rogue, both have lots of favorable reviews, I have an older vitesse setup and it works great although there have been some upgrades since I bought mine. They are a lot smoother than the old PB setups like what you have. My car had huntley setup when I bought it and the vitesse setup was a big leap forward for it.

I had Powerhaus do my head and can say that it was a not much different from stock. Ports only cleaned up and was o ringed. Used a k27-8, never was a fan of the #6. If I had to do it over and used the KKK I would not change the k26-8 for either one and I had all 3. I agree with changing the maf. Vittesse is a great unit and would make it a fun reliable car.
