Lol! How fast can a 944 go? I can make any car go slow. 140 at Road Atlanta is probably parkin' it compared to other drivers. I am a turtle!

They're slower than sh*t... You'll never see 140 MPH in one. Ever.

But that doesn't mean they're lacking! At Lime Rock, they're only a few seconds slower a lap than a GT3 Cup - and 1/10th the price.



When I was a white group driver (intermediate level), I wanted the fastest car I could afford. Now that I've been racing for several years, I want low-cost, reliable and competitive racing - so I got a spec 944.

The real thing to do is be honest about your desires - and understand that they may change over time and with your skill level. But, I want to point out, learning to drive a slow car quickly will build your skills better than relying on a fast car.
