It multiplied!!

The younger animal is a '91 S2 cab

Rennlist is cyclic and I dropped off when the major content was like "how do you like my wheels"
Prommise: I will look around more often from now on (might even lead to the change of avatar)

It was nice to meet you!

It's great to travel around the world and meet Rennlisters and fellow Porsche fanatics.

Wauw.. You guys have really been spamming my topic full..

@Derek, next week i'm visiting Hans at his house so if you want to join me, we'll be talking about cars, cars and some more about cars! And it was really nice meeting you, we'll meet up soon again!

@Patrick, maybe this Hans is the Hans you think it is but it could also mean that you're thinking about HansB (Hans Burger), the racecar driver. If so; nobody has seen or talked to him in a long while..

@333pg333: I am indeed a blast from the past, but maybe not your blast...
Nevertheless, thanks for remembering!

Ha, yes, I could see you were here back in 2001 so you definitely qualify as a Blast from the Past!

Yes, I was thinking of HansB as I was reading off my phone and couldn't see the avatar. I have communicated with HansB a little over the years. Unfortunately he got a bit ill and hasn't been racing of late. I believe he had to have the motor rebuilt also and perhaps this wasn't at the top of the list of things to do at the time. Shame on many levels.

Derek, i'll give you a call this week, i'll probably go the Hans on wednesday of thursday

PA, thanks!

Now for another little update. We made a steeringhub lengthener last saturday (dont know the actual word for it) and dropped the rear suspension 3cm. Now i'll probably have to get spacers for the front as the rear wheels are way closer to the fenders than the front ones. As i still have to replace the frontsuspension with the turbobrakes, it's very easy to replace the studs for longer ones.. Or are there better/cheaper options? Because it's only 1cm i don't think it's a good idea to get the "bolt-on" spacers as the dont provide these small sizes.

Yesterday we did some polishing and cleaning the interior. And I set up everything except for the wheels for next weekends trackday.

Hopefully the enginebuilder will give me an estimate on the sleeving and building the new pistons.

I would be worried about your steering wheel adaptor. They are designed to compress in a hard impact and yours is most certainly to strong.

Dont worry: the belts will keep his ribs away from the wheel and the shaft with the X joints between steering rack and rod will prevent the steering wheel to be pushed in in case of front collision.
set-up is perfectly safe
