Lol, I'll take whatever you feel is obsolete Lol

Well after removing the thermo switch I finally was able to get the plenum placed in a position I am comfortable with. The runners will be slanted like on the LR unit but with much less "slant". The #1 runner will be about 1/2" higher than the #4 runner. The strut brace now fits and I have 3/8" clearance with the hood worst case.

What is the thickness of the material that you're using?

As for the thermo switch, you could always use an electrically controlled valve like what is used on the S2 cars. You'll need a PWM output of some kind to trigger the valve off of a coolant temp signal. It can be installed anywhere so long as the vacuum line is ported to the diaphragm deal on the backside of the driver's shock tower.

Are you going to notch the intake where the shock tower bar goes across?

Thickness of the plenum is 0.25". Not planning a notch for the strut brace. Should have about 0.1" clearance.

Won't you have a clearance issue with that strut brace... Gotta remember the engine moves when it's all torqued up

Shawn, 0.100" is cutting it too tight no? What about tilting of the engine from throttle input?

It is tight. Definitely no notch in the plenum. I have a few ideas.

Wow, WTF!!!

Where do you come up with these crazy designs? That took some time to create! However, butt ugly in my opinion.
