Awesome! It looks a tad high in the rear, I guess it might be adjusted after the first shakedowns and tests?
Plenty of space in the rear for a diffusor!

Scott, you have a 944 Spec car now?? Maybe I should try and finish mine instead of selling it, maybe I'll have someone to race against!

*** BAD NEWS***
I just can't catch a break.
Get the car on the dyno and it's smoking. Bad. Oil is coming out the exhaust as well.
Oil is leaking from a place that nobody can identify.
The engine is making a very faint thrashing noise.
Power is down 70RWHP.
****. That would mean no testing and no racing this weekend.
Forward to today....
Pull the intake and valve covers. Perfect.
Pull the front end off the car, the radiator, the water pump, etc...
Pull out the cam. Looks perfect.
Hmmmm
Do a leak down and 3 cylinders have around 18% leak down :-(
Pull an oil filter, cut it open, pull the filter and BAM. Full of very pretty silver and copper tinted oil.
MOTHER_____@Q$%&^!$*@$$%^&(^#!$&@$%&!@$#^@&^!#$&@$%&!$%#&^!@$ &$#@!@%$&#%^*#%^&*%!@$%^ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah.
So... where was I? Oh yeah. The engine.
This is the LS6 that about 2 months ago, I took to my engine builder to, for preventative maintenance, to have new valve springs, service cylinder heads, new rod and main bearings installed.
As an FYI... when they pulled the rod and main bearings they called me to tell me that they were perfect and not to replace them. Just to reinstall them. So they did.
I get the engine back, get it in the car and it sits in the car unstarted for months while the car is being finished.
So it appears that either the oil pan pickup is not correct, or someone along the way ran it without enough oil, which is easy to do since it holds 18ish quarts and you have to fill the pan, spin the engine, then fill the pan, and repeat the process until it's full. Furthermore, if you turn on the key and leave it on, the Accusump will dump 3 quarts into the system which can make you think there's more oil in the system than there really is.
So who the QW$^&%#%^&* knows.
At least my heads and valve train, which are new are all good. The cam is good. So it looks like either repairing this short block or a new short block.
:-(
The stars are just not aligned.....
I'll know Monday when the engine is out and I can see what the cylinder wall and crank & rods look like.
This sucks!

Tony, that is a real heart breaker. Keep telling yourself, the hard part is done, engine mechanicals are the relatively easy part. The end results look and are fantastic.
