How close was it? What were the results? Did you make sure the cat was hot?

Do you have a WB02? You should be at 14.7 at idle and PT. If that's not the case your wasting your time trying to pass with the chip in it (possibly the MAF) . As someone stated, that chip runs rich, High HC's, at idle and PT that seems to be your problem is it not?

Why are you trying to fight the autothority tuning? Just put the stock stuff on, pass, then put your MAF back on.

I second this approach -- you need to get the motor into closed loop at 14.7 aid-fuel ratio. You are probably too rich due to the MAF calibration. You are better off fixing that, I'd say, if you are going to be running this MAF, as everything will be healthier and last longer if idle is tuned to closed loop. Excessive richness will kill your new cat -- the unburnt fuel just toasts it-- and your plugs and O2 sensor will last longer, and your cylinder bores won't get fuel washed, etc., etc. A wideband is a good investment for any modified car, but you an also confirm its in closed loop with a multimeter on the O2 sensor signal. If you can't get it into closed loop by calibrating the MAF, it's also possible you O2 sensor is bad.

Hmm well he does not seem to want to listen to anyone? We don't know his experiance level? Maybe he does not know how to put it back to stock?
