Default How to raise headlights w/ battery disconnected

I've currently got the motor pulled out, and no battery hooked up to the car. I'm trying to take off the top section of the front bumper, which has a couple screws on each side beneath the headlights...so i need to "pop" them up.

I tried connecting 12v from the battery directly to the headlight motor, but not sure how to hook it up. There are 4 wires, brown is ground, hooked 12v up to the other three, one at a time with no luck.

Any suggestions on how to wire it up temporarily to raise them, or how to do it manually?

If you pull the rubber boot off the motor there is a **** on top you can turn by hand to raise and lower the headlights.
