Default Need DIY oilcooler hoses!

So one of the hoses (lower one) were scratching against the PS belt and got a leak.
Took the hose to a local hose company and they did a new one in Braided Teflon and this was a sucker to work with. Really hard to get it to fit since its impossible to bend or turn. If you bend to much it will break.

It lasted 1 hour driving then were pouring oil on the ground...Might have been my fault since it was tight against a metal corner but not sharp. Cost me 115$...

So now I want to fix this myself and need your help what parts could be used.

What can I do home without a "connector pressure tool"?
Can I work with AN and get it leakfree?

I need adapters from M22(?) to AN-what? then I need which connector? AN push on, is this correct?

What hose to use and which hose is ok to work with home to get it good? What hose size?
Aeroquip?
Rubber?
Teflon again?

I want something that lasts but Doesent have to be NASA equipment...

Everything will be bought from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Torques-U-K

Got 5 minutes to help me?

Thanks!

I don't know what that site has, but I use -12 AN (3/4" ID) rubber with braided stainless outside. You can cut and assemble with simple tools, I've now used it for 10 track days with zero problems. I got all of my stuff from Summit Racing - presumably you have something similar.

Great, do you remember what connectors you bought? Or do you have the order on the mail still?

First time looking at AN so know nothing...

You'll need to source the adapters or, like I did, get metal AN fittings and weld them to the factory fittings. I'm not sure what you'll need to go on the cooler side,as mine is AN.

Yes, you need the M22 to -12AN fittings. I did a custom setup for a Setrab oil cooler, so the fittings I used would probably be different. I used a mix of Summit Racing brand and Aeroquip fittings.

There are lots of good videos on YouTube for cutting and installing the fittings.

Here are some: http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsche/22MM-12JIC.html

A lot of places if you buy the angled fitting and hoses will assemble them for you in store. Save you the hassle entirely.

Is the original hose equal to AN-12 or An-10?

I'm thinking about the aeroquip AN push on fitting. Does this require a clamp to tighten it?

Which one seals the best?

NO do not put a clamp on push-on hose. Get the hi temp one FC-332 is good for 300 deg. and 250 psi

Here is what I did. Find a different Hose and Fitting Shop:
