I am not sure how fast you need them and shipping times, but if it is faster, you can have them shipped to my office in Germany and I can bring them back to you next Friday (I am on my way to and from germany this week).

Once everthing is done with this one , maybe you'd want to be the first to build a 3.0 , all stroke? That would be a runner!

Edit, not all stroke, but mostly

I missed this post somehow. Fantastic work Sid. A project like this takes quite a bit of research, some connections, and a "smart" guy. Love it.

Push it till it pops..

Ok, cash is king. The 3.0 will be a liitle more $$ due to having to get a 3.0 crank. I think it would be around 6500-7000 for a shortblock w/o shipping, , wp, etc.

little more progress. The bearings should be here tomorrow. The HG will be here tomorrow. Final assembly should start in the next couple days and hopefully be installing over the weekend.

Some pics of of the mock ups and other things

and test fit with other pistons

I was thinking that your wife would be mad for filing piston rings on her counter-top, then I scrolled down some more...

Thanks for the shot of the filled block, I'd only ever heard of it being done, never have seen it. Makes a lot more sense now that I see how far up it's filled.

Lol I should send these to my "EX wife"... Maybe she would be mad.

I did a short fill on the high compression engine and it seems to help. Oil temps are up a bit but I am installing a larger cooler.

Wow, you must be seriously not married! Looking good. Is it just the pictures or are the cylinder walls getting pretty thin? Steam vents, piston squirters and/or extra cooling holes in the head gasket might be in order to make the most of the remaining cooling space around cylinders -- along with good tuning course.... Did you use Moroso engine grout?

Not initially, I'm just prepping for when I do. I may wait until I do the 3.1, either way at least I'll have the pistons ready for this combo.
