I'll second that - Lart is a good guy to have around when you're undertaking a major project and need bits and pieces that simply don't need to be "new". What would we do without him, or guys like him like Josh B? They are doing our community a huge service, not only by having the parts we need, but they ship quickly so we don't have to wait long when we get in a jam.

I pulled off the tower today. I found a cam bolt bent into a L shape floating around. It backed out of one of the holes.

I should get Lart's tower by Friday

might not be a bad idea to go through all of the bolts and make sure you got them.

I got all of them. Just need to wait for the new tower from Lart and I can button it up again, adjust the belts and cross my fingers

Pull the plugs and pressurize each cylinder. If you bent a valve you'll hear the air escaping.

Good idea! I do not thing the valves would have been affected, but worth testing.

One little tip for the future is to dip your allen key in some a little engine oil; I pour a bit into the cap and keep it handy. This keeps the bolt and washer from slipping off the key and into the cam box.

Also put a little oil around the threads and washer. That way, the bolt has a better chance of slipping all the way in without getting caught up on some crud and seeming like it's tight. Plus it'll be easier the next time you need to back those bolts out.

Sounds great! Thanks

I been useing a little grease in the top to hold it in place as I lower it in the tower. But I like the oil idea!
