Dont like bronze, want the Light grey tint, so you can see stars night
Sorry, we can only do stock specs. All the printing is done online so it would be quite difficult to do any custom work.

Also can't do the grey at this point because of a raw material shortage. The grey glass will need to come from a different source and would up the cost significantly.

I don't have one of these, but in a earlier post one suggested that if you have a sliver car (which I do) I should go with the Silver /Gray version ... ???
TIA

Sorry, nope. Raw materials supply shortage on the grey.... Unless something drastic changes from now to the scheduled run date, I don't think we can do that.

The rear hatch glass has a metal frame that is bonded to the edge of the glass. The hinge/pin hardware is then attached to the frame, not the glass.

Well, the frame tends to separate from the glass (usually up by one, or both, of the hinges) and will cause the most annoying, incessant metal-on-glass squaking you've ever heard.

Even though I never close the hatch with one hand, I have had to reseal it a few years ago and it is already starting to re-separate...

Does anyone have pics of how the bronze finish would look on a black car?

Also, are the tops being produced going to work 100% with a '91 UK car with an electric roof? I'd love to buy one but need to know it will work first.

I may not mind black & bronze - I'd like to see a picture if possible. But think black and grey would definitely work!

Black and Gold were all the rage in the early 80's
I wasn't being sarcastic ( which I usually am)
Silver and gold may look a little strange but I may have no other choice

I'm sure this was already mentioned, but exactly how much are you looking to sell these tops for? Also any idea on how many will be up for grabs?

My car is black (not metallic paint). I guess how it will look may depend on the exact finish of the sunroof. Ive not seen one in person so it's hard to judge.

80's cars were cool, but mine is a late model and doesn't look too dated. If like to keep it that way with any luck.

If I had a black car I would go for bronze but that's me ..
I like the bronze color/look... I have a skylight in my kitchen and it looks and works great. It's only because my car is Sliver (no less, Sliver Rose) that I thought it might conflict??

Pilkclassics: Are you planning a run of manual sunroofs as well?

My post below has a pic my black car with a bronze roof, but it is pretty hard to see the color. I can try to get a better pic this weekend.

PilkClassics, this is a picture of my Saratoga. I think this is identical to the ones you will produce. You can see the seal on mine is totally gone and the movement of the roof has damaged the paint. Is there a chance I could get a new seal from this production run or have you put a new seal on this roof?
