So far I have not heard anything. I do know that they have the pics. I have been told they will be on the market in about 60 days. It will be a direct order from the mfgr. Cut out the middleman syndrome we all had to endure.

Forgive the possibility of this being a dumb question....
Why would one purchase a framed one vs a non framed one ?
Is there any benefit it to having a frame on it ?
Also, if someone doesn't send one in, I assume we will not be seeing one made ?
If I had one, I would send it in ... but I don't
Thanks
Ed

For the original Saratoga's and now looking at the pictures posted earlier, IMO the frameless looks cleaner and more like the stock roof, but the bronze color is unattractive and you may not like the four buttons. For these new ones if I got to choose for me it would be frameless in the gray color.

Also, my frameless is noisy - it rattles and there is wind noise, while my stock roof is totally silent. I have always attributed that to the seal, not the roof itself.

Well I sure hope one way or another I get a new seal out of this. Come by to see my bronze frameless Saratoga. My car is even dirtier now than in the pic.

We are now in need of the three pieces that are located on the front of the Saratoga tops. Does anyone have a top or these pieces to get the last bit for these tops done.

I have a frameless top, would pictures work? I'm nowhere close enough to bring it in...

Hey Stephen, I stopped by Pilkington today to pick up my top. They have completed the glass prototypes which are identical to the originals. After speaking with Chen, I decided to let them use my top for hardware comparison and development.

We are all fortunate Stephen found Chen. He is a true enthusiast/ motor head and has been the driving force behind this endeavor.

Can you be more specific? I have a top, but I thought they had one they were working from.

They are in need of certain hardware only now. See the one above your thread regarding the top. We are so close nowI can see the sky.

Thanks Jason, I try the best I can. And thank you to all who have helped get this on the market again. Now I will see the Hawks and planes flying above me at breakneck speeds.

Make sure they know the lifting arm receivers on the back of the top are different for cars with electric and manual sunroofs, or at least that's what I understand to be the case.
