If he is running a stock disc with the smaller helper springs, I would recommend getting a different disc that is shot, and resurface it. Those springs can cause some headaches if they pop out, and on a used disc, the chances of that happening are elevated.

Don't take my word for gold.... but... unless "relining" is different from "rebuilding".... they should put new springs in. They did for me.

Is it just me, or does it look like someone cut that axle in half, for whatever reason, and welded a sleeve over it to join them together? It seems to be hollow....
I'd think the CV cage would grenade before it had a change to demolish the axle like that...also unusual to happen on the passenger side ( unless equipped with a LSD )

I will take a closer look and compare to the other side. It did seem like where it broke was too smooth to be a natural break. Although I dont know why anyone would have done that.
