Hey Shue, do those 350mm rotors have 83mm or 85mm hub center holes?
Rockauto shows them at 83mm and 85mm for the 330 rotors that I'm making rings for. Thanks bro.

Z06 comes with 355mm front rotors and I'm using 350mm rotors. I'm going a bit smaller, however there seems to be no issue w/ coverage.

Damn '89+ Mo30 spindles to hell I say!!
I need to check piston material, I would guess steel but I can't confirm.

The calipers are monoblock and manufactured by an aussie company called PBR.

Weight is an issue, the calipers aren't that heavy however the rotor is (~27 lbs). The beauty of the setup is that the rotor is identical to the 996 GT3 rotor. So if I wanted to spend some extra money on 2 piece rotors, they can be easily purchased.

I used your 85mm dimension for the OD on my centering rings and they fit perfectly.

I like it. My turboS front and turbo rear calipers work ok on my 944LS but have been thinking about upgrading for next season. How heavy are those rotors? And do you think this setup will work on a 17" wheel?

There is more space than I thought on the 18's. I think Bruce has a 17" roller somewhere that maybe I can borrow to see if it fits.

I believe we weighed the rotor at ~27 lbs, Porsche lists the stock GT3 rotor at 25.6 lbs, and then these girodisc 2 piece rotors weigh 22.4 lbs(they are also very expensive).

Good point on the '89 M030 hubs being different. How much different are they from the standard 951 hub?

XSChop makes/sells them. I have a couple machinists at work that owe me a favor, so I just gave them the dimensions.

Thanks for confirming that dim Schue. looks like Rockauto had the 350mm rotor hub dimension wrong.

Yes, I started churning spare sets of 1018 steel centering rings after doing a 944 and 928 Wilwood caliper swap with these rotors. Fit ALL Cayenne 955 rotors with 85mm hub centers. Chamfered 45* for hub interfaces, only a few grams more than alloy, indestructible and less expensive...

Someone really needs to add the word "Killer" underneath the Corvette script on that caliper to give the proper aire for this modification! lol

Its cool to see guys developing stuff like this altho I wonder how the "weight vs benefit" benefit compares to Big Reds or even the 951S set up. I've never found the stock 951 to be that bad in the braking department. For a track only car thats lightened, I would think this has the potential for "automatic flatspot".

Hmm... The difference seems to be in the "package".

There are 2 sets of rotors listed for the C6. The "JL9" cars use the smaller rotors, and the "J55" "Z51" use the larger rotors.... but all 3 use the same caliper (Same number listed anyway).

All of those use the floating caliper, basically C5 brakes, way different from the ones I'm using.

From what I understand of the LS conversions you have to remove or re-position the brake booster. Have you retained the booster at all or just gone for a dual m/c setup? The call of flat spots is not to be dismissed with boosters especially.

They all list the 6 piston caliper....

Oh well. No argument from me . You've figured it out, and it looks like a great setup.

I'm running dual MC's and get great pedal modulation. I can lock the brakes up too, just not as fast as a boosted set-up. I've looked everywhere to see if the spare C5 vacuum booster could be mounted in front of the engine, but my custom serpentine is in the way....and the pop-ups that I am not moving....gotta keep something original LOL.
