Oh. very cool.. He kept his mill!?

It is a pretty bad *** piece of machinery. older, but such a good design. still beats outs many newer.

The program should still be with him then.. not completely lost, but getting him to stop what he's doing to turn them out might be another story.

BOB, I just bought some 996 rotors. The brakes are FINALLY going on the car tomorrow. Things are finally coming together.

GOOD NEWS!!!

brakes barely clear cup 2 replicas. I should have pictures up later tonight or tomorrow. I'll see if i can source some real ones locally and check those as well but I'm assuming the reps will have less clearance.

Aw man. that's not barely clear. That's clear by miles. I'm shocked. Very cool.

Not only that, the caliper body rides inside the the inner wheel beautifully with that Cayenne rotor offset. Besides the Porsche price issue, the permanent double-bridge design trumps the GT3 caliper design in my book. Also it's showing an M10 x 1.0 input....win/win

So what brake rotors are those? Xschop, you going to be making the adapters to fit those calipers for the M030 setup?

No, I'm not. I'd like to see someone try though......I'll trade you a set of NA spindles and Z06 adapters lol.

the rotors are the 350mm cayenne/gt3 rotors.

someone w/ mo30 spindles can attempt to make the adapter. It may or not may not work lol

So I was talking to my friends who own a speed shop specializing in corvettes and they mentioned that there are issues with the Z06 calipers; mainly a large amount of taper over the pad length. Guess it's an issue of having all the pistons the same size. There suggestion was to go with the StopTech 60's if at all possible.

I know there are issues w/ the C5 Z06 calipers, mainly because they're floating and they clamshell after a season. I will have to research the taper issue with these (c6) though, haven't seen that yet.
