Default Transmission Brace

I have tried searching, but maybe I'm not using the correct terms. I'm looking for info on how you install a transmission brace. After looking at the trans and surrounding area, I can see where to attach to the trans, but not the other end. I plan to make this brace, so any help would be appreciated.

I think most people have settled on this approach to limit trany movement.

After untold hard launches and complete clutch dumps, I still haven't busted a CV...

and Toplocker Nuts that won't vibrate out......

Just drill your 85.5-up Tranny hanger to mount bolt holes 3/8"

New Mount Loaded weighs....836 grams....

Keep in mind when you do this. Transmission noise gets considerably louder.

I'm not really concerned so much about noise. The car is gutted and plenty loud as it is.

I did not notice any more gear whine when I installed mine as I designed it where the shoulder bolts are completely isolated from the base-plate. With a solid mount it would definitely increase noise. I have only one left for a late trans and will build more in a few weeks. I am also building more of the short shifters I designed as well. If you haven't seen my chromoly axles, I can build them too with stronger Type 2 CV's (larger ***** and thicker cages)

Hey 95One, here's the pic....It has exactly 30% reduction in lateral and forward/aft throw.

I used the old window weld trick but also plan on adding two guy-wires on either side. This should be a very light and effective way to keep the transmission from shifting left and right.
