My Broadfoot nose piece turned up last week. They were sincerely apologetic and offered a discount. I didn't take the discount even though it was well earned. I feel that despite the hassles involved, these small operators need to be kept in business. It's all we've got and should be thankful for them....warts and all.

I wish more ppl thought and acted like you. Having closed my own car audio business and seen most of the other specialist's do the same, because (IMO) most ppl aren't prepared to pay for good quality work, and equipment sales margins being so low, due to competition from virtual online retailers, that don't pay the costs of a bricks and mortar outlet. It's surprising to hear someone say that they value, and are prepared to pay, for a specialist service, and to even knock back a discount

The 944 / US market is a twin edged sword. Due to the population cars are very cheap in the US. So college kids can afford to buy a Porsche. Problem is that they often don't have the money to upkeep it, let alone modify it. So you have very few aftermarket options. The people that do give us choice are almost running charities in some cases. Mostly small profit margins and low turnover. Makes it a very tough field.

It's a shame that there have been some feuds along the way, but we should be very thankful that there are any options at all for us. I certainly would hate to see any supplier shut up shop on our little corner of the automotive world.

Patrick. I really like your attitude. I, like others, get very upset about order not getting sent in months. But on the other side of coin. When I realize the promise has been kept. My anger dis appears quickly. I'm glad yours has done the same. And I too feel your sentiment. SO. Good to know. If you order from Broadfoot. order 6 months in advance. LOL. Act like you're asking from our government and follow up about 300 times and make sure you correct their paperwork over and over because it is never right. But in the end. It will eventually happen.

Also. Just watched your video. Man It looks like fun. I miss racing so much. I did notice that you seemed to have some understeer while accelerating out of a corner. And I also notice your negative camber number. Maybe too much? Have you looked at tire temps after your runs? Inside, middle and outside using a temp probe? That problem really seems to be slowing you down. none the less. Really nice.. I enjoyed the video. Thank you. I hope to have some REAL videos of me pushing my car someday. I only have low boost shakedown runs on video right now.

It's weird to think I'd even be writing that stuff compared to my feelings of frustration over the course of the year when not receiving any comms back from them....however I stand by those sentiments Bruce. Certainly some vendors out there are much faster with supply and support, but we just have to accept our lot and order with eyes wide open.

Actually that video is of a pro driving my car. He'd been in it for only a few laps prior to that particular video so had no real 'feel' for the car yet. Also he is considerably taller than me and couldn't actually fit in a comfortable seating position. Hence some 'interesting' gear shifts and de-clutching. His left leg was actually getting caught under the wheel. The tyre geometry has never been truly professionally setup, so still plenty of margin. Might have to go back to the drawing board with the new size tyres next time out.

As my dad use to be a custom fabricator, Fitter and turner (own business). When i use to help him out on school holidays i would notice the pile up of parts need to be fabbed up so there's a waiting list and pretty much need to wait your turn. Could be days, week, even months to get things done finished and out the door. The only problem is broadfoot is in USA While we're in Australia so you cannot just rock up and see how things are going unless you have your own plane and John Travolta is your pilot.

Anywho i cannot wait to see how she looks with the new body bits on it!

Took a couple of Phone pics of the Techart knockoffs. 10"x19" fronts 11" rears. They weigh a ton but for the occasional road use I think they look ok.

Thanks I guess, lol. Each to his own. I wanted to try 19"s just to see what they looked like and these were pretty cheap. They're just roadies so they won't be on the car that much...and I like them anyway.

We eat a lot of Kangaroo Curry down here. It's got to go somewhere....

Actually this is a custom SFR exhaust. The fart can thing is really only a nod towards silencing the noise. Would it sooth your sensibilities if we put the chrome tip that came with it on there??

Just giving you crap...ya know...cause it's FUN! We usually see mufflers, that look very much like that, on the back of really crappy Hondas with like 8 hp! They found like little fart cans! It's hilarious!

I like the wheels. I also have some roadies that are boat anchors, but they were the right price and I don't give a crap if I destroy one some some crap road.

Nah, I agree. It looks stupid. Less so with the diffuser but stupid nonetheless.

Do they give you lots of drama in OZ due to the car being too loud? I have a (prtty much) straight through Borla. It sounds great, though it's a bit loud, but not too much for a "car guy".
