Thanks guys, it sure feels good. I drove the car to work today, 50 miles round trip, everything still looking and feeling great. The MBC is still set at about 15.5 PSI, and the bypass valve sure flutters a lot at WOT... I suspect it's working hard to modulate the boost at 15.5!

When you say bypass valve, do you mean diverter valve? If so, does yours have interchangeable springs? If so, maybe a heavier spring?

Speaking of the MBC, do they work well there? I'm assuming it's due to the weather here or something... but I can spend hours dialing mine in to 16psi and the first time it rains, I'll get boost spikes to 18+ psi... Rain is not the best time to get boost spikes

Bypass/diverter/BOV, yeah, that. Mine is a Porsche 930 valve, nothing replaceable in them. I need to pick up something better now.

Never had a problem with the MBC, but I haven't had it in the rain for 6-ish years either. We'll see soon hopefully!

Um.. there's a shop here locally that carries both Forge and EM... but they're really really really small time... I don't even think they have a website... otherwise, not sure. Someone will chime in, I'm sure..

Find your closest distributor. The closest distributor to me is Forge Motorsports USA, a quick 15 minute drive

The Evolution and really any aftermarket billet DV is based on the Forge design. You can use Forge springs/shims/replacement parts in pretty much every billet DV on the market. That is actually how some people copy the design, they just purchase the replacement parts for cheap then CNC their own bodies and put their names on it.

Alright Matt...this should be fun! Our performance should be very(!) close! Both stock bottom ends with fresh stock heads and the same turbo. You get the nod on the M Tune though (green with envy here!).

I am ready for that Sunday drive west of Ft. Worth!!!!!

I even have some new shoes for Mistress #951!

Matt,

I had major BOV flutter when I put my car back together a few months ago.
I ordered ones of these ebay units and it works great. No more flutter. Comes with three different springs. I can't see paying more for anything else.

Sweet! I've got a set of Yoko's waiting to mount, but I want to use up the crusty old Kuhmo's first. Maybe I'll mount the Yoko's on the Cup wheels and try them out... they've got a crappy dark colored paint job though. Oh well, I just might do it.

Rain will be scary on my Kuhmo's, they are hard as a rock!
