My heads ended up costing me more than the whole motor. So... yeah.. That was an expensive 30hp.

The shop I use has their own CNC machine and flow bench. They will run my heads through their CNC machine for $500. That would easily get me another 30RWHP.

So $500 for the CNC, plus R&R... call it $1500 with a tune, maybe more with larger injectors.... 450RHWP ish

Currently, it's a HP to Lbs ratio, TQ not factored in unless it exceeds HP (which is rarely the case).

The deal is that on big race tracks... (which I primarily run), you need top end power. That means power from 4000-7000rpms. Nothing below 4000rpms matters becuase you're below never that.

So a cam that makes great low & mid range won't do anything for the car on the track.

And this is the exact reason why I just swapped cams from the MTI Stealth 2 cam at 389RWHP to the Futral F-16 cam at 417RWHP (everything else besides the cam the same).

It was a direct swap of 30TQ for 30HP at the 4500rpm mark on up.

Totally worth it for a track car.

Stainless Hollow stem Valves, Titanium keepers, PRC springs that aren't out yet, welded up fully re-worked, higher compression, micro polished chambers, Full competition port and valve job. and a few other tricks up his sleeve that costs more. This is where the extra cash came from. the total hp should be a bit more, but not much. THe micro polish was for the detonation deterring. The angled out chamber is for higher rpm timing advance. The Springs and valves are for high RPM abuse and reliability (+cash to make the math complete on that)

So I paid quite a bit more for things other than just horsepower in these heads.

The Corvette is nice, But it doesn't have the looks of the 944
And, with the LS motor in the Porsche , there is not much on the road that will keep up with them especially a Corvette.
Pull up the corvette next to a converted 944 at a car show, which one is everyone going to be looking at?
Lastly, why did it talk Gm so long to copy the drive train that we have been using for 25+ years? That's GM for you.............

2675/440 = 6.08 Not even close to the 8.5 lower limit for NASA GTS2.

This leads me to believe that:

1. 2675 is your car weight without you and you weigh in at 1,065 lbs, or
2. your meant to write GTS5, which has a lower limit of 6.6.

Sorry... GT5, and 2675 is the car w/o driver.
