UPDATE!

I went to his house last night just to see if the info you all had was correct. That is his house and his BMW was there. I have met this guy befor.

Befor I go any farther with this I need to know what you all want me to do. I will do whatever, but I would think that it would be best if you all compiled your info aqbout what happened to you and gave it to the Fairfax County Police.

I have a good idea, now that I know who he is, how he is able to do all of this.

Just let me know what you all want me to do.

This Godzilla guy sounds like the type of person that makes me sceptical of purchasing on E-Bay. I gotta hand it to Dan **** and Eurospeed951. Better work than most enforcement agencies. These posts read like Investigative Reports. Keep us posted.

At this point, any vandalism would be traceable to a short list of suspects, of whom most would be on this thread list. I would hope if I lived in the area that NOTHING happened to said d*ckhead's vehicles, b/c it would probably lead to some real legal woes.

Such reprehensible acts of vandalism would include keying paint, slashing tires, brake fluid applied as mentioned, a can of 3M automotive paint stripper, radiator patch/muffler patch putty in the cylinder locks, draining all the oil out of the engine pan (15 or 17mm)or rear diff (11mm allen), setting new aggressive alignment specs for the suspension, loosening wheel lugs (17mm), unbolting rear lower shock bolts(19mm).

Like I said before: "I do not condone bodily injury or personal damages, I do not want this person to intentionally defraud another person. I would also like restitution."

A message to Andrew... "We will not give up!"

UPDATE:

I spoke with Andrew (goes by the name of Drew) this afternoon.

I called his work at
Porsche Pitstop (703) 212-0900
4536 Eisenhower Ave. Alexandria, VA.

Here is what he said (summarized):

"I sent the package on the 16th or 18th of June as soon as I received your payment. I shipped it in a 12"x26" box and it weighed 68lbs. I will look for the receipt with the tracking number tonight. I paid shipping via credit card. I shipped it via USPS with a tracking number. Call me tomorrow afternoon."

Here is my take on the converstation. June 16th is a Sunday, and the 16th of June is a Sunday, and the post office is closed on Sunday, no biggie because he could have shipped it on on the 18th. The dimensions of the box seem accurate for a differential. The weight is about right. He said this is the first time something like this has happened to him. (yeah right). I also questioned him whether he meant UPS or USPS, He clearly stated USPS Priority mail. To my best knowledge, USPS tracking is done through delivery confirmation with a green tag. So I left him my cell number if he had any news. I am not holding my breath for him to call me. I will call him back tomorrow afternoon and check with him again.

As a side note, he told me he was out of town because his father was sick.

On another note, Mike is Andrew's son.

Any suggestions on the next step.

I am assuming Andrew will say, I can't seem to find the receipt of shipping.

Since he paid with credit, USPS should be able to pull up the info of the transaction (and tracking number). I would ask for him to pursue that route if he says he can't find the receipt.

Sorry that you guys have all had a bad experience. It is wierd, because I have probably made ~30-40 ebay purchases over the years and NEVER received an item I wasn't absolutely thrilled about.

Good luck,
Dave
