Default Help..drivers side mirror broke internally at base

I was rotating the mirror on it's base and heard a "POP", now it doesn't click into position. I appears to be some internal mechanisim that locks it in place. Is this repairable?
Thanks

yeah there's a spring thingy with an allen key that needs to be tightened. remove the mirror glass, and tighten it.

HOWEVER (and it's a doozy) if memory serves me correctly, the wiring harness runs through it. unless you have a pin puller, make sure your wiring skills are up to date.

If something is broken, I have a mirror I can pull some part out of for you.

Ditto on mirror parts. My red flags are now part of my museum.

Well...that could have gone better. Not only did I break the mirror , but the pivot arm of the adjustable mechanism broke. Looks like I'm in need of the entire assembly including the mirror.

Darwin or Ted if you have this for the drivers side, let me know. Need one asap.
Thanks!!

Shoot me an PM with address and I'll get it out to you. Its red, but if you give me the color you need, I can make it that. It would take an extra day or so, though.

Save your old mirror to door gasket, I think I threw them out.

Lemme know.
