Car lift?
I've been looking at 2-post car lifts. There are alot of different units out there.
"Bendpak" seems to be the most expensive with the others being half the cost of the "Bendpak" unit.
Any recomendations based on experience for a home garage lift.

As an owner of a four post lift, I can't help you with suggestions for a two post lift, but I can tell you once you do it, you will be ruined for life and wil be kicking yourself for waiting so long to do it. Trust me, as long as what you get is safe and reliable, you'll love it.

+1,crawling around under a 951 is such a PIA, the only thing worse is pulling the tranny out on a 2wd Toy mini truck, the rear tranny mount is welded in place and the truck is wrraped tightly around it! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Greg Smith Equipment. I have had a 4 post lift from them for about 3 years and I am happy with it.
They also sell two post lifts. My experience with 4 post is it great for storage, but for working on the car
the 2-post is a better choice.

Purchased mine from a local company. They installed and I been using it for over 6 years now. Make working under a car a whole different experience.

I've owned my Bend-Pak for 7 years and I'm very happy with it - bullet proof and Made in the USA. I even had the pleasure of being under the car during a minor earthquake. No way I'd get under anything made in China.

Uh, I don't think Bendpak is made in the USA any longer. My bendpak scissor lift had made in china stickers all over it, and I believe their two post manufacturing has gone over seas as well.
About the only lift made in the USA anymore I believe is Mohawk, but if you think Bendpak is expensive, look at a Mohawk, lol.
If I were putting in a 2 post, I would go with a Rotary. I have worked under a lot of them.

I think the Backyard Buddy is the only one I know of that is made in the US. Very nice lift, but about 3X the cost of the China Made, I would say about 15% nicer than my Greg Smith Equipment, and I found it hard to justify the extra cost.

I use a MaxJax. Was around $1900 to my door. Best part is it's not a permanent install. 10 anchor bolts in the concrete and you're good to go. I leave one post in so I only have to wheel one out and I'm setup in less than 15 minutes. I haven't had any problems with mine. Every one of my bolts holds 100 ft/lbs - 2 only torque up to 80, but I haven't had any problems whatsoever...and I've had my car up on mine for 4-5 days straight at one point.
