I dropped the 951 off at Motorwerks for the work to begin. Mike will be painting the car to make everything perfect - no chips or scratches... Mike performed all of the work on my wide body Mercedes & he's as much of a perfectionist as I am, so I'm looking forward to seeing the results. He has already painted a few parts for the car & achieved a perfect match with the Nile green paint.
The hatch was picked up by the guys at John R Glass who will perform the needed reseal, along with a light tint & installation of the Euro 951 hoop spoiler that Mike painted satin black.
After some debating, I decided to order a new bat wing & lower rocker pieces to ensure that the new paint had new parts to compliment. I toyed wit the idea of installing a splitter and vented header panel, though I didn't find anything that really
I plan to take pictures of the progress & if there is interest, I'll post here. I told Mike to take his time (free winter storage....)
Here are a couple to get started.

I was going to suggest adding a Euro rear bumper and hoop spoiler at this time but looks like you beat me to it ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
And what is this widebody Mercedes you speak of?

Sorry about the fuzzy 1st picture; didn't realize it was that bad...
The wheels are Ruf modular's 8.5/ET52 front & 11/ET61 rear. Feel free to copy the look - just be prepared to search for a long time!

I agree... Motorwerks is a great facility & there's always a nice compilation of cars there being tuned, restored or repaired.
Thanks - it's Nile green. Here's a better picture of the color:

That's my favorite older mercedes. My dad has one.
My ex neighbor used to work for Renntech, he called the w124 the last bulletproof Mercedes.
I like the widebody treatment.

I've always loved the w124 & especially the E500E. The inspiration for my w124 was "what could a coupe version of the E500E have looked like if the factory had produced it...?" Two and a half years & a lot of $$$$$$ later, I was very pleased with the results.

D'OH, after looking at the full sized photo, I realized I have another photo of your car as my screen saver..very clean car!
Thanks
Having evolved from the Italian 124 (and 128), we all have to start somewhere, and just look at all the practice they provide in dealing with repairs.
