You have the 7200 series, the correct comp section to be used when converting a K26 to a K27/6.
The K27 7200 came on the 1991 C2 Turbo and is a desirable upgrade to older 930 with CIS.
The K27 turbine side does not bolt up to the 951 exhaust.

NO that is not a K27/6 or K27/8. That's a K27-7200. In order to make it a 6 or a 8 you need a K26-6 or a K26-8. Then you take the center and exhaust from the 6 or 8 and you mate it with the 7200 compressor.

K27's are all good .... like Marvin Gaye said
GET IT ON
GET IT ON
Kidding aside, I was just comtemplating whether or not to go to the hassle of upgrading to a larger or a more efficient turbo for just street use. But if I could get a solid 400rwhp out of this then I'd be content...w/ a 3L.

OK, so that mean that it's already converted. THere's a way to check if it's a 6 or a 8. If it has a triangular shape figure in the hot hosuing it's a 6 if not it's a 8. Let me do some Research.

I supposed it was converted by powerhaus and I did "eyed" Rogue 390 number to see if I can break the 400 number. He did mentioned that the 390 would be about the max his K27/8 could do at a high boost level. And I believe he's running w/ E85 so that allow him to run higher boost w/ the cooling effect for extra protection. In any event, I was able to dyno mine to 380 with this mystery turbo at around 1.35 bar on pump 93 with a gallon of Xylene added.
So it there a way to visually inspect from above or below to tell if it it's got a 6 or 8 hotside? I can barely see daylight through all the plumbing as is...Anybody else w/ this type of turbo?

mud: if i were you, i'd sell that and save up or get a real proper turbo. Anything from the vendors are good (SFR, Lindsey, VR). This one turbo is causing you to think too much about the size of the hot side, forget about it.
Anyways, you would need chips/software upgrade to match the turbo. Hence why i say get one from a vendor, preferably a kit, bolt it on and just go, no fuss, no headaches.
PS: Numbers do not mean crap, look for a kit that gives you a nice wide band to actually enjoy you're car. No point driving a 400whp engine that makes everything at the top end in the street now is it?
My opinion.

Hussam and others-
Thanks for all of your feedbacks- do appreciated it. This particular turbo that I got has a little history behind it which to me has some sentimental value to it- long story... This is why I am trying to understand its characteristics while trying to tap its full potential if at all possible. I did a lot of searching too and try to peace the puzzle together as to its particulars. My original goal and still is, was for a 400rwhp street motor with good area under the curve and I think I am almost there. Not trying to get the highest peak hp possible with a bigger turbo or a better set up as there are quite a few good kits out there but just what fits my need for a street car.
I am still learning about the make up of various turbos as well and thought I'd start with what I have and is the reason for the question.
Anybody else have experience with this type of turbo from Powerhaus? I am beginning to think that it's a type of K27 Sport or High Flow that IA sells which uses 7200 center section. Any thoughts on this?

In my honest opinion, a K27 can hit 400whp, but it will require a serious tune and higher psi (thinking 23+psi if you have a good head, headers, exhaust, MAF and so on). Even then, it is not guaranteed.
I will run the numbers here in Germany, see what i can come up with. Any other numbers you can find? post them here. Mind you it's the weekend, i will give Borg Warner a call on Monday and get the nitty gritty on this turbo.
