I will definitely take pictures of the change-over. The great thing about the HY35, is that the stock turbine housing is sized about perfect for most 951s. I'll do logs, before and after as well.
Power/Tq will be 400+. Figure low-boost of ~18psi, and high I will probably set at 25psi.

Man, now you got me thinking about Holset turbos...I kind of like the old-school style set up while still get the result that I am after and that's why I still like KKK style turbos. Please keep us posted.

Um... ask again next month, LOL.

I'm finishing breaking in the new motor now, and as soon as I can I'll be swapping out turbos - believe me I'm excited to get it done, just haven't had the time.

Pretty sure you'd still have to do your own custom fabbing to make the center section go on.

Also, what, if any, benefit(s) does the GT series have over the Holset turbos from what you've encountered?

I'm also thinking the new Garrett GTX turbos look good for an E85 motor running 20+psi.

2.5L with a bit of headwork, cam, headers, exhaust and a GTX3071 at 24psi. Sounds cheeky.

No secret Stock forged turbo internals, with some oiling mods, coated bearings, ect.

The GT series can be had in ball-bearing. Even though the Holset spool/transient response is much better than the KKK stuff, the GT is probably slightly better yet. But that "probably slightly better" doesn't offset the price difference IMO.

Agreed - the GTX stuff looks really pretty cool. The GT stuff was a huge step up on the turbine wheels - now it appears they are finally making a big step up on the compressor wheels.
