"borg warner" did they take over KKK?

I meant, with those part numbers, the ones mud supplied. I will ask about them in BW. Whatever info they can give me i will pass on. I will give them the numbers that mud posted, see what comes up. Did not intend on charts and stuff, do not think that is even possible but who knows? i will ask about charts as well then

I do not know if BW took over KKK, or renamed or if KKK makes parts labeled under BW or what exactly. But i used them several times before helping out some 80's 911 guys who wanted to upgrade their turbos to new ones in Dubai, worked fine.

it i
s plenty good enough until you have ported head 4" exhaust big fuels system etc etc ...
It feels pretty good but I don't think I can afford a good ported head like JM, VT, SFR, LR etc... and really trying- the operative word is "trying", not to throw any more money at it if at all possible. I did have the head refreshed w/ some light porting and the exhaust is already 3" turbo back no cat...

I will try to find out what other number I can provide but after shining a flash light at the darn thing for a while, it's all that I can come up with so hopefully, going straight to the source may provide the answer.

A K27/8 can hit 400rwhp. But that is it, and definately requires some help (E85 / Race Fuel), headwork, ect.
Is it the best turbo for 400rwhp, no. IMO, the absolute best turbo for 400rwhp would probably be a GT30R. But for the price, the K27 is hard to beat... I'm also betting my Holset HY35 will hit 400rwhp, and have great spool - I guess we will find out soon

I think Pauerman was selling a BB gt3071 for $1200 on a group buy not that long ago. That should make 400whp. Sorry but I don't know the specifics on that turbo.

For 400rwhp you will want the full GT30R (GT3076r)...

Interested in the development of this project Rogue. Why Holset and not something like Garrett?

A couple of reasons. First, the Holset stuff is tougher then similar sized Garrett stuff. Second, the Holsets are efficient, comparable to the GT stuff. Third, they bolt up to the stock turbo mount. No special mount or adapter needed (unlike the GT stuff). Finally, the Holsets are 1/2 the price of the GT stuff, and more over, you can find used Holsets all day long.
Now I'll have to cut off the stock flange on the crossover, and weld-on a T3 style one (but I would have to do that for a GT series turbo as well). And make a new downpipe (again, the GT would need the same). But neither of these is hard to do, and gives me the chance to change over to V-band stuff, which will make any future dis-assembly easier.

Sounds like a plan to me- especially from a cost vs. performance perspective. What level of power/tq are you shooting for and will you be starting a DIY type of documetary?
