I'll call the shop in an hour and see if they've found anything yet.

The way I see it, I have 3 choices.

#1 Fix whatever the problem is and hope that's the end of it.

#2 Part the car out, as it's worth far more in pieces vs whole

#3 Throw in the towel and put in an LS1

I'd rather not do #2, and won't do #1 unless it's an easy, cheap fix. I see #3 happening the most, followed by #2...

What's the Mac pipe? How much oil were you going through? I literally have wet oil on the tail pipe of my exhaust.

Sorry, I meant maf. The spell check caught it and thought I meant Mac. It is the larger hose running from the aos under the intake manifold to the Maf pipe.

I went through an absurd amount of oil and covered a garage wall with oil (ill take a pic!)and left a James Bond worthy smoke screen.

MM951, I was assuming "MAC" was an acronym for "MAF/AOS connector". lol

CPR's NEW turbo had failed seals in it, I helped him swap it for the current NEW turbo which has been holding well for him!

Doc... not sure what to tell you, I feel for you....

Was talking to my mom's husband last night about the ticket...He's an attorney and muni-judge for some smaller towns up north...He asked if the cop has pictures, if not, shouldn't hold up in court and sounds like a bogus ticket....Let me know if you have any specific questions....

Doubt he took pictures and I turned the car off once he pulled me over. I'm not concerned about the fine, it's the fact that I have to take a day off from work to deal with it is what will cost me a bunch of money.

Dash cam, police use them 24/7 these days... most of them record to a digital video recorder in the trunk whenever their cars are turned on...

Get a lawyer to go on your behalf or is that not an option in Colorado? I've had $400 tickets thrown out by paying $200 to a lawyer and then doing nothing but wait for the outcome in the mail. Something to look into, at least.

who rebuilt that turbo 200 miles ago? Are the IC pipes full of oil? Was the engine rebuilt at the time as well? (sorry dont know your car) If you can determine that a leaking turbo is causing the smoking problem with the summons in hand I'd press the builder to pony up for some responsibility if you can
