...on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. 17.5 PSI. Lotsa fun. Idles with 2.5 Bar oil pressure and ran at 180 all day long at the track today. Whoo-Hoo!!! Many thanks to Mark Belanger and his sons Matt and Mike and Yuri (not his son) at Alpine Autowerks in Calgary. Soloracer helped me out with some one off parts that he labored for three evenings to get off one of his many, many cars. We're racing this weekend at the Rexall Indy in Edmonton and all of these guys thrashed like crazy with many late evenings to make it happen. Again, Many Thanks!!!

This is the latest racecar Lanny? What spec is on that? Dyno Dynamics tend to read pretty low compared to other dynos so that looks a healthy number.

This is the orange 1988. We put some turbo on that Mark would only speak of in a whisper, after midnight, in a candle lit isolation room, Mahle pistons at 8:1, Stage V type head, L/R Intake, SDS stand alone managment, 4" Exhaust, 55# injectors, O Ringed the head, Knife Edged and lightened the crank. We kept the boost relatively low but could run 21-22 PSI. At this level I have a reliable fun car (2460 #) that goes really well. The next project is a 3 Litre, 16 Valve Turbo for the 83 race car. Can't wait!

Ahh, the old 'muted whispers with Blindfold syndrome'...that's the second time I've fallen for that this week.
Got a dyno chart to show? Sounds like a ball 'o' fun at that weight too.
Keep us in the loop with your next project too.

Race gas. I'll try to scan the dyno sheets. I run 345/30/18s on the rear and 295/675/18s on the front. It sticks. I'm not sure of the difference with the 4" as we did it all at once so all the mods contributed.

I run 20/50 and usually see about 2 bar at idle which is about 900-1000.
My mech (porsche only shop/race shop) always told me 1 bar per 1,000 rpm is just fine. So at idle 1 bar is fine as long as in the 4-5K it is getting up to 4-5bar.
Oil pressure at idle, as long as there is pressure, is not that important. Just when load/revs rise is when the pressure needs to be there.
