the original mini's where/are a significant break through in design terms . they punched well out of the weight and price rage in motorsport ...they were cost effective fast and great fun... the current mini is not in any way a stand out from other well powered mid sized cars ...it is cartainly no better than a mazda 6 a wrx an evo ...a golf an audi a3..
in its day there was realy nothing like a mini until the golf GTI happened ....
