Hi Jason,

Found this thread you mentioned and your build looks awesome!

Your TT is done and looks like it will fit right in with your black/silver scheme. We coated over the aluminum transmission housing as discussed since your build is at this level. Should be shipped out tomorrow.

Cheers,

Everything looks fantastic, however I feel you will be having a fun time getting your spring plate bushings on with the spring plates PC'd...

I assume you will be using poly bronze bushings? (They recommend replating the spring plates, but you have them PC'd and the cured PC does add to the over all dimmension)

their (Elephant Racing) poly bronze bushings are SLIGHTLY oversized to allow for differences, but are still a snug fit, you MAY run into problems with any bushings you use, and the result might be you may have to strip the PC off the bushing mating areas...

Other than that, very nice... very very nice....

Default powder coat colour

Sorry...I'm just a little **** retentive about **** like that lol. Can't wait to see it bak together. Did you repaint the struts?
The shop that did the powder coat got those two colours mixed up on those two pieces

I didn't feel like having them redo them.

As far as the spindles I'm hoping that colour hides the brake dust a little better.

the whole lot only cost 450.00 Can, which I thought was ok considering the work involved

Everything that I can take off underneath is getting the powder coat treatment except the calipers.

Putting on big brakes next year so I can deal with dirty calipers for now.

I tried my weltmeister bushings and they actually fit perfect. I was concerned when I looked but the bushings are a perfect fit. Just snug enough they go on but don't slide around without being forced. Lucky break I guess.

I powder coated my spring plates, and had to sand down the powder coat a bit to fit my Elephant Racing bushings on. Nothing crazy.

I picked my 951 up in Calgary, does that count? Presently I'm in Yukon. BTW awsome looking engine bay and PC parts, when I have more free time i.e. retired, I will also embark on this project. Nice work.

Default some assembled parts

I installed a 1/4 piece of rubber between the solid trans mount and the hanger to cut down on vibration noise.

Installed poly bushings on spring plate and torque tube with no issues with the powder coating thickness. Need new bolts though the zinc plating is in poor shape.

Are you going to polish the new radiator before you install it?

More powder coated black and silver parts.

Also ceramic coated 2000F coating on inter-cooler tubes and exhaust parts.

Question:

On the exhaust header, the powder coating on the flex/expansion bit on #1 runner, would that be prone to flaking/chipping due to thermal expansion/contraction?

Life time warranty on the thermal coating from Top Gun Coatings so if it does it's repaired for free
