I would like to think I'm a bit more graceful than that when I work. Unfortunately I love this car to much to go any of those routes.

Charles, honestly with the sophisticated design of your car stand, what else can we expect?

OK. I understand. My Jack stands are ghetto. But... it sturdy trust me. The car on the stands is firm. I'm not looking to die for this car. And if it even matters... I removed the cardboard. LOL.

Jackstands man...
Sears has 6 ton jackstands for $25 / pair. They have lifted my car high enough to do everything (engine install/removal, transmission, clutch, etc) those blocks are not safe!

Lord have mercy. I cant get the huge nuts off that hold the rotors on. I tried a penetrant and heat. Im using a huge wrench and im putting a lot of my weight on it and im whacking the wrench trying to get it to break/ free. But the rotor is turning with e-brake engaged. What next?

Lefty loosy…
Actually you are now trying to remove the stub axle nuts….not the ‘rotor nuts’. The rotors are only held on with the little Phillips head screws on the rotor hats.
The axle nuts usually need well over 250fl lbs to break loose. Most guys use a really long extension on a ½” drive socket and the wheel should be mounted and on the ground – otherwise you will not get the leverage you need…

Fiancee Finds Man Crushed Under Car
Yarmouthport Man Found Unconscious In Driveway
YARMOUTHPORT, Mass. -- A 29-year-old man was killed when a car he was repairing slipped off homemade blocks and crushed him underneath, The Cape Cod Times reported.
Jeremy Eardley's fiancee found him unconscious underneath a 1995 Geo Prizm in his driveway at about 11:30 a.m., police said. Firefighters used airbags to lift the car off of Eardley, who they said was unconscious at the scene. He was later pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.
Police are investigating Eardley’s unattended death, but they do not believe foul play was involved.
The Cape Cod Times reported that Eardley was an active motocross driver who had raced since 1992, according to his MySpace Web profile. The site says that he was once ranked in the top three of the New England Sport Committee’s expert class.
