For those of you who have used the AIR splitter, what do you think? Are they too low for a stock suspension street car? I like the look, but don't want something so low that I'm constantly scraping it.

This would be a good CPR v-1 vs v-3 over stock debate.
The AIR apears to be comp. to the v-1.

I've used them on many cars over the last 10 years.

No problem on a street car.

They not a splitter nor are they an air damn. Not sure what they would really be called. But they look good and don't stick out or down very much. You should have zero issues on a street car other than running the car up to a sidewalk or concrete stop when parking (depending on your ride height).

I've got a used V3 you can have for free if you want to come pick it up in Los Angeles.

You could just grind it down to a V1 :-)

Mine has held up well over the last 8-9 years, still love the look. Have scrapped on occasion but not problems.

Ride ht is 13.5" from wheel center to fender lip (200 lb Springs), gives 5" of clearance for the AIR

I regularly scraped my AIR splitter, even with stock ride height and 225# springs in front. I got to know every bad curb, driveway entrance and 'whoop tee doo' in town and avoided them as best I could but it still scraped. That said, it took a couple of years before it actually wore through the bottom and it certainly looked good.

I have a CPR V1 currently and only very rarely scrape it on anything. It looks good in its own way, was a piece of cake to install and it's pretty robust.

I do like the CPR V1 a little more than the air. It's definitely robust! Also I think it blends in with the car better, as the finish is similar to that of the turbo side skirts.

My old 86 was just a tad below standard height. I destroyed the AIR in a month. Got a new one. Tore that one up. I live in Florida, so it isn't like there are crazy hills or driveway slopes. Still, I could scrape it back out of the driveway.

I've had an AIR on for about six years. Still looks really good. I've scraped it a few times, but nothing it couldn't handle.

I have a bunch of splitters over the years and that do take a beating. Key is to watch the road. I always paint them ratlle can black for easy touch up.
I usually use a matte black.
