time to go back and check your wiring, how many volts on the battery? If you messed with wire 18 on the harness, you need to verify that it''s still intact to the DME harness.

yes but the car stopped being able to crank prior to touching the dme wiring, right before it stopped it sounded like the battery had died and it had just lost enough power for it to turn the car over anymore (which i think the batt did die), but now after charging the batt and having good power it wont crank..

What about the main ground wire on the back of the block? Did you disconnect this for any reason? It is held on by a 13mm bolt.

Check things with a voltmeter. The not cranking sounds like the DME relay. Bypass it. Maybe you fried the starter. Also check the cables to starter. If you have someone to help you tap the starter maybe got stuck from you cranking it so long.

Also try to turn the engine over by hand. If you cant, the problem wouldn't be far off from there. Take a breaker bar or 1/2 inch wratchet, and put a 24 mm socket on it. Put that on the crank bolt and turn clockwise to see if it moves.

At least in the old days, if you cranked a starter too long, you could burn it out. Did you give it little breaks when it was cranking? The lights going out when you turn the key makes it seem like the battery is still weak, or the draw is excessive.

Well, both wires in the DME harness, 18 and 35, send power to the G5 relay. You did have your battery disconnected with messing with the DME...sorry, just checking. Do you have a spare DME to try?

speed/ref sensors connectors on back of intake suck and always break. check those. also maf needs 12v source not afm 5v. either no spark at all or way to much fuel. 72 lb. injectors take dumps lol. whjats your fuel pressure at ? if it doesnt crank yeah prolly burned the old pos starter out.

when i was cranking i would let it rest, the reference sensors were untouched and look fine. what would prevent a no crank?

motor mechanically cant turn. (shouldn't be that but i'll check.)
bad starter.
stuck starter.
bad ignition?
bad dme?

anything else i should check out? i don't have a spare dme which sucks.

wouldnt a stuck starter cause draw when i went and tried to crank it? the interior lights dont dim at all not even a touch when i try to crank, i think something is preventing the starter from even trying to crank..

In the video, it looked like the headlights dimmed when you tried to crank, no?
