Can you explain why I wouldnt need a laptop for MAP. I am looking into getting the moates ostrich 2.0 and turnerpro software. seems like that might work very well after learning it. I know Map is manifold pressure and the comp. can read that instead of maf which would be speed density. But wouldnt u need the laptop because the dme cant do it by itself

he means search the forum for past posts ..well MAF works for many here and it will be easier for you as you can jump on here and see it all done befor..
BUT.... if your going to pick up a MAP rig for cheap....hmm there are a few triks you can pull with map by scaling the Pnumatic input with valves and checks and bleeds
I would assume the MAp set up will take you at least double the time ..if you want to take more time again i can sell you a stand alone for similar bucks LOL

Dude, you are working way to hard to recreate something that has been done brilliantly thousands of times by multiple companies that sell tried and proven solutions.
If you don't have the budget to do it right, which sounds suspiciously like the case, then sell the car before it breaks you...because the way you are going, you WILL break IT!
